Upcoming Events During 2022, IDO will offer more training workshops on how to win contracts in emerging markets funded by international financial institutions (IFIs). Participating companies will learn how to position themselves to win contracts, which are the best sources of information on new projects and bidding opportunities, and how to structure successful expressions of interest, bids and proposals. On 26 November 2019, the President of IDO made a presentation to several hundred persons at Chambers' Day in Geneva, on how to tap into business opportunities through projects funded by the World Bank and other international financial institutions. Between 2014 and 2021, IDO ran training workshops for more than 40 European companies, providing senior managers with the knowledge and tools required to effectively identify and pursue contracts in emerging markets through international financial institutions (IFIs). In 2014, the President of IDO served as Moderator for the E-commerce in Russia panel of an international conference in Switzerland. During 2013, IDO's President provided one-on-one training to 25 Swiss companies interested in winning IFI-funded contracts. Upon invitation from the Government of Austria, in September 2013 the President of IDO made a presentation at Forum Emerging Markets in Vienna on procurement through projects funded by international financial institutions. IDO's President gave a presentation on the international financial institutions at the WIN/GIA annual meeting in Rome, Italy in June 2013. WIN/GIA -- the Worldwide Independent Network / Gallup International Association -- is an association of companies in 77 countries that specialize in market research, surveying and polling. In November 2012, IDO and the Swiss trade promotion agency hosted three events on international financial institutions (IFI) in Zurich, Lausanne and Lugano. IDO's President provided insights into working with IFIs and taking advantage of business opportunities provided by these institutions. The Latin American Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland held a Round Table in June 2012 on "How to Secure Financing, Win Contracts and Protect Investments in Latin America & the Caribbean through the World Bank and IDB". IDO's president was the guest speaker at this Zurich event. In May 2012, IDO's President was a panelist at the Investment Summit Croatia, organized by the Swedish Trade Council, the Embassy of Sweden and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Croatia. IDO provided its fourth round of one-on-one training in May 2012 to Swiss companies interested in securing IFI-funded contracts in emerging markets. The training sessions were tailored to the specific capabilities and business objectives of each company. In April 2012, the Joint Chambers of Commerce and the Swedish Swiss Chamber of Commerce held a Round Table on "How to Secure Financing, Win Contracts and Protect Investments in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Central Asia."
