Osec has engaged IDO to provide hands-on training to win contracts with the main International Financial Institutions (IFIs) to interested Swiss companies. The training sessions are free of charge and were held in September, October and November 2011. With nearly 25 years of experience working with the IFIs, IDO provided each registered company representative with 60-90 minutes of one-on-one training, tailored to the specific capabilities and business objectives of each company. The mission took place on 1-4 March 2011 and allowed participants to have individual meetings with ADB officials, discussing business opportunities in their specialized fields and countries of interest. On 26 January 2011, Osec, together with IDO, held an information event on business opportunities with projects financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the African Development Bank (AfDB). The event was hold at the Hotel St.Gotthard in Zurich. The Program can be found here. IDO's president has been selected by the World Bank's Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) as a "business finder ." MIGA provides political risk insurance to private companies investing in developing countries and emerging markets. IDO's president is authorized to arrange MIGA guarantees with companies from any country in the world. Interested companies are encouraged to contact IDO for more information. In August 2010, IDO's president, Randy H. Grodman, was awarded the Official Osec Expert (OOE) status by Osec Business Network Switzerland, the Swiss Government's official trade and export promotion agency. The OOE designation is conferred to a select group of experts who have offered outstanding service to Swiss companies. As such, Mr. Grodman is recognized by Osec as a premium partner. In July 2010, IDO’s president was interviewed by the journal Entreprise Romande, which is published by the organization of employers in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
